Christmas Day

Noah is always the first one awake at our house, no matter what day it is. Surprisingly, he slept in a little bit on Christmas morning, not waking up until 7:00. We told him he needed to wait for everyone to be awake before starting on the gifts. It was really, really hard for him ... because Emma (VERY surprisingly) did not budge until 8:30!! However, Noah was such a good sport and waited patiently. As soon as Emma was up, we grabbed Carter out of bed so he could join in on the Christmas fun. He was so stimulated that he didn't even seem to mind not having breakfast yet. Usually he is screaming hungry the second he wakes up, because he sleeps for 10-11 hours every night.

I tried to take pictures, but it was difficult with everything going on. I managed to snap a few, though.

Our kids always enjoy opening their stockings first, before any gifts. Santa is really good about not giving them a ton of candy, and he always gives them each a new toothbrush  :)

We had a very memorable Christmas, and we hope everyone else did, too. The New Year is off to a great start!

We realized when Carter is sitting, he isn't any bigger than a stocking!

Noah's legs are SO LONG! He is 4' tall already!

What does a baby get in his stocking, you wonder?
Teething biscuits, a dump truck, a sippy cup, a toothbrush and baby-safe toothpaste, and teething keys, of course.

* Special Delivery *
Since it was Carter's first Christmas, he got to open the first present.

Emma got a special princess necklace, in a little box shaped like a tiara. Inside the box reads, "A princess is sweet, and charming, too. A princess is special, just like you!"

Carter LOVES his drum!! When he hits it, lights come on with the music!

Later in the day, we celebrated Christmas with Chris's mother's side of the family. I have only one picture of this, for some reason ... I will do better next time!
