Simmons Park

My mom and I took the kids to Simmons Park in Ruskin. It was a nice little one-day trip, perfect for everyone. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on the beach (thanks, Mom!) and let the kids swim and dig for a while. This beach didn't have the "clean" sand that we're used to, but who cares? It was a great day of fun that wore the kids out really fast!

fish face!

We had to keep an eye out during lunch, because there was a very brave raccoon trying to steal our food. He kept getting closer and closer, and he even knew how to open the lid of the trash can and climb inside! After his little feast, he climbed into the rafters of the pavilion and curled up to take a nap. Noah was TERRIFIED during these pics before we left. He didn't want to take his eyes off that raccoon!

Emma's always ready to strike a pose!

Carter was so exhausted! I almost couldn't get him to wake up for dinner that night. But I love how he just hung his tiny arm over his carseat and went to sleep.

Grandma brought m&m cookies for a treat on the ride home. Simply sweet  :)

A few minutes later ...
